๐ How to Set Up a Mandate for Mutual Fund SIP
Setting up a mandate gives permission to auto-debit SIP amounts from your bank account ๐ ๐ณ
1๏ธโฃ Choose Where Youโll Invest
You can set up SIP on:
- ๐ฆ AMC website/app (Mutual Fund company)
- ๐ฑ Investment platforms (Groww, Zerodha, Paytm Money, etc.)
- ๐ผ Bank investment portals
2๏ธโฃ Enter SIP Details
You will fill in:
- ๐ฐ SIP amount (โน500 / โน1000 / โน5000 etc.)
- ๐ SIP frequency (Monthly / Weekly)
- ๐๏ธ Start date for SIP
3๏ธโฃ Set Up Mandate (Auto-Debit Instruction)
Youโll get 2 options:
| Mandate Type | How It Works | โฑ๏ธ Time |
|---|---|---|
| e-Mandate ๐ | Authenticate via Net Banking / Debit Card | 1โ3 days |
| NACH Mandate ๐ | Sign physical form & submit to AMC | 7โ20 days |
You must set:
- Max Mandate Limit โ should be higher than SIP amount (ex: โน1000 SIP โ set โน5000 limit)
